In a recent Webcast, Oracle President Mark Hurd introduced Oracle Infrastructure as a Service (Oracle IaaS). Oracle IaaS combines on-premise hardware with support and enhanced service offerings for a monthly fee.

Oracle IaaS provides organizations with full control, visibility, and security of on-premise servers, deployed behind their own firewalls. Oracle IaaS also includes the “Capacity on Demand” feature, which enables businesses to access and pay for elastic compute capacity to handle periods of peak workloads
