I read your article “Software License Compliance: Myth vs. Reality” and I must say it was quite enlightening. There is no doubt that third party software license policing agencies will intensify their efforts due to the advent of SOPA and other anti piracy advocates. As you’ve pointed out the shifting business/IT ecosystem can quickly put any organization out of compliance. So before you quickly find yourself negotiating a settlement, it would be wise to get an expert or consultant. Prevention is always better than cure.
