NASA Astronauts Ditch Windows

In an interesting development – NASA has ditched Windows and moved to Linux – apparently for reasons involving reliability. All of NASA’s astronauts living aboard the International Space Station will be upgrading to Debian 6 (which sounds pretty extra-terrestrial doesn’t it?).

A spokesperson from the United Space Alliance stated the switch was made because ISS astronauts and cosmonauts needed an operating system “that was stable and reliable.”

Wow.
